Call for Papers
There are three types of Papers which can be submitted to the Congress:
a) Oral, b) Poster, and c) Distant.
All types of Papers should be written according to the strict guidelines presented in the template of the Congress available below and submitted through the “Submissions” section of this website. Papers should not exceed 2 pages following the general structure presented in the template and using the font type, margins and instructions in the template. Papers of all types will follow a peer-review process and authors will be asked to revise their Papers according to the reviewers’ comments.
Papers from all categories are considered equivalent and will be included in the Proceedings of the Congress, which will be available to the participants during the Congress.
For the Distant Papers, the authors are obliged to send their presentation in a video after the final acceptance of their Paper.
All the Papers will be assessed for possible invitation to be extended and improved so as to be published as full articles in the journals of EWRA (with the consent of the authors). This process will take place after the Congress.
Poster Papers
Poster sessions are scheduled during the Congress, as will be presented in the detailed Congress Programme and they are integrated in the Congress activities. You should check the Congress Programme, when it become available and on-line, to find the date scheduled for your poster presentation. Posters could be uploaded in specific boards in the morning of the poster sessions. Chair persons will be assigned to poster sessions and authors are requested to be available during the scheduled poster sessions for questions on their poster.
A standard poster board will be provided for your poster. Your poster details (number of poster paper, etc.) will appear on the top side of the board so as to locate your board easily.
The poster size should be A0 portrait oriented (width: 84.1 cm / 33.1 in, height: 118.9 cm / 46.8 in). Do not exceed these dimensions or your poster will not fit. The poster must be easily readable from 1.5-2.0 m distance, so please choose the appropriate font size. Providing A4 takeaway versions of your poster is permitted but not required.
In order to efficiently convey your message and communicate the results of your research to the viewers, we recommend spending considerable effort in designing your poster. Some useful tips include: Keep it short and simple, avoiding putting too much text on it. Your poster is a visual aid to present your work. Visual elements such as graphs, diagrams, figures should dominate. If possible use bulleted statements rather than blocks of text.
Distant Papers
Distant Papers may be submitted by scientists/engineers from all economically disadvantaged countries of the world.
Distant Papers will be treated as oral papers and they will be presented in the respective Conference of the Congress along with the oral presentations. The presentation of these Papers will be done by high quality videos with sound prepared by the authors and submitted after the final acceptance of their Paper. Videos of 10 minutes are required for each presentation. The concept behind the “Distant Paper” submission is to give the opportunity to a wider audience of people from distant countries to participate in this benchmark event avoiding the burden of costly travelling.
Distant papers may be submitted in all topics/conferences of the Congress. They will be treated as all the other Papers submitted for presentation in the Congress.
Deadline for Paper Submissions
The deadline for paper submissions is the 31st of January 2023 (23:55 local Greek time).
In order to satisfy several requests from authors, the Organising Committee of the Congress in its meeting on the 31st of January 2023, decided to extend the deadline for paper submissions up to 28th of February 2023.
Language
The language of the Congress (presentations and discussions) will be English. No translation to any other language will be available.
